Happy New Year!
CCFA is launching a new program in the new year - Lunch & Learn. The purpose of this program is twofold. First, to provide a continuous learning opportunity to our members by leveraging the vast professional knowledge and experience already residing in our own membership. Second, to provide a forum for our members to practice presentation and facilitation skills.
As such, we are asking you to reach out to us if you are interested in becoming a speaker. The topics are wide open as long as it is professional in nature and contributes to our members' career development. Also, if there are some topics of particular interest to you, please let us know and we will try to arrange it.
The sessions will likely be held somewhere downtown among 20-30 CCFA members in a casual, supportive fashion.
To kick start the program, Dr. Yong Wang will host the first session. Below are the details:
Time: Feb 17, from 12pm to 1:00pm
Venue: RBC Learning Center, 20 King Street West, 10th Floor, Toronto, Ontario M5H 1C4
Topic: “Reflections on financial crisis” - Review of the background and impact of the 2008 financial crisis. And a comparison of the economic stimulus plans offered by different countries.
Registration: Pre-registration is required before Feb. 10. The cost will be $10 to cover the lunch and will be paid at the door.
Due to seat limitations, we are targeting an audience size of maximum 30 people (members only) on a first come first served basis.
Also, please let me know beforehand in case you do need to cancel so that we can re-arrange the catering.
