Speaker Bio:

Murina Chan is the Vice President of Women In Capital Markets, and the Assistant Portfolio Manager of External Fund
Investments (Fixed Income) at the Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan (OTPP). She started her financial career in United
Kingdom and moved on to OTPP in 1996. In the past 11 years with OTPP, she has held various positions such as:
Derivatives and Swaps valuation in Investment Finance, Modeling role in Research & Economics, and is now
overseeing the Fixed Income External Manager Portfolio. Her current responsibilities include: selection, evaluation, and
monitoring of fixed income external fund management opportunities; conduct investment due diligence on the risk
and return of various strategies, as well as develop and maintain relationship with fund managers. She graduated
from the Economics Department from The University of Western Ontario and is a CFA charter holder.

insights. She will cover the diversified roles she has held at OTPP, her successes and challenges experienced during
