    What will your typical day look like?

    We are looking for a SA level practitioner to join our growing derivative and structured product valuation team. Using your technical skills and leveraging our subject matter experts, you will provide advisory services to our clients on a wide range of topics.

    You will be responsible for the following:

    Develop and / or validate different quantitative risk and pricing models according to best market practices;

    Be involved in various risk management and derivative valuation projects for our clients;

    Support partners and managers in building derivatives and complex products (e.g. swaptions, structured notes, etc.) models and carrying out the valuations according to best practices;

    Communicate valuation results to partners and managers, and prepare valuation reports that detail the scope, methodology, assumptions, findings, and conclusions;

    Cultivate relationships with clients and possess a strong knowledge in leveraging prevalent methodologies;

    Work collaboratively as part of a local and national team of talented advisors;

    Contribute to practice growth and development.

    Enough about us, let’s talk about you

    You are someone with:

    Minimum 1 to 4 years of relevant experience in either derivative valuation or market risk, on model development or model validation team at a major financial institution;

    Solid academic background with a graduate degree in a quantitative discipline such as a PhD and/or Master Degree in Financial Engineering, Statistics, Financial Mathematics, Econometrics or other relevant post graduate degree;

    Solid programming skills (e.g. VBA, MATLAB, etc.) and knowledge of database tools (SQL, SAS, etc.);

    Strong knowledge of complex derivative and structured products (e.g. options, convertibles, CDS, etc.) and their modeling approach;

    Knowledge of vendor models (e.g. FINCAD) and other databases (e.g. Bloomberg, CapIq) is an asset;

    Enrolled in relevant professional designation (i.e. FRM, PRM, CFA, CIPM) is beneficial, though not required;

    Capacity to work under deadline pressures;

    Excellent verbal and written communication skills;

    Strong commitment to professional and client service excellence.
