Mr. Wu was with TD Asset Management in Toronto from 1999 till 2009 as a Senior Portfolio Manager, and managed CAD $30 billion of global debt portfolios and a few hedge funds. He came to Shanghai in 2009 and joined CITIC-Prudential Fund Management as Head of Quantitative Investment and Senior Portfolio Manager. At CITIC-Prudential, he launched and managed the first batch of Chinese structured leveraged funds with an AUM of over 20 billion RMB.

With angel investors and his partners, Mr. Wu launched Zhen Rong Bao (ZRB) in August 2014. The firm’s mission is to take advantage of the dual opportunities in Chinese wealth management and on-going process of asset securitization to develop the new model of "internet+" asset management for the general public. Within the last 18 months, ZRB has attracted over 1 million registered investors and generated over 11 billion RMB trading volumes. ZRB has launched the first kind of structured index-linked products, with CSI300 equity index and Chinese gold futures respectively, in the online wealth management industry. Such innovative products have successfully helped ZRB users and investors. ZRB has won the support of Matrix Partners China as series A investor in January, and Sequoia Capital China as series B investor in October.
