OVERVIEW

The objective of this social gathering is to promote the awareness of three professional organizations and provide an opportunity for like-minded people to interact and share common interests. Appetisers will be provided.

SPEAKERS

Sue Lemon
CEO, CFA Toronto Society 

Sue is CFA Society Toronto’s Chief Executive Officer and leads the Society’s strategic direction which includes promoting high ethical standards in the financial industry and increasing the visibility of the charter with key partners in the financial community. An experienced and successful investment executive in fixed income markets Sue formed MSL Advisory Corp in 2008.

Through-out her career Sue has held progressively senior roles at Canada Trust, CT Investment Counsel, Nesbitt Thomson, and CIBC World Markets. Sue led her team at CIBC to a #1 ranking in the Greenwich sales survey. Sue is a Past President of the Society and has been an active volunteer for the past 20 years, notably mentoring young industry professionals. Sue is a cum laude graduate of Ryerson Business Management and earned her charter in 1989. 

Kelvin Tran 
SVP & Chief Auditor, TD Bank

Kelvin Tran is Senior Vice President and Chief Auditor at TD Bank Group. Kelvin has overall responsibility for the planning, execution and reporting of audits, regulatory reviews and special projects. He is also responsible for the administration and staff management of this global function, with over 400 employees operating out of six locations around the world.

Kelvin has been with the Bank for over 17 years in progressively senior roles, including Head of Enterprise Decision Support, Treasury and Balance Sheet Management and Chief Accountant. Most recently, Kelvin was the Chief Financial Officer of TD Securities where he oversaw the day-to-day activities of its global finance departments, where he led the teams responsible for capital management, valuation policies, productivity, financial planning and management reporting, analysis and control.

Kelvin is Chair of both the TDBG Visible Minority Committee and the Diversity Leadership Council of the Office of the CFO. He is the founding President of Ascend Canada, a not for profit organization focused on developing Asian leaders. He is also a past member of the board of directors of Diabetes Canada and past chair of its audit committee.

Dianna Zhang
Vice President, Capital and Exposure Analysis at Scotia Bank

Dianna Zhang is the President of the Canadian Chinese Finance Association and Vice President of Global Risk Management in Scotia Bank. She has been involved in a diverse mix of risk management activities for the past 15+ years. In her current role, Dianna has responsibility for the Bank's market risk capital, credit risk capital, capital optimization, and non-retail expected credit loss for IFRS 9 and risk data aggregation projects in Market risk and counterparty credit risk. She also directs analysis to market risk Value at Risk and stress testing limit, and counterparty credit limit monitoring and management. She have over 20 years of managerial and leadership experience in both Canada and China. Dianna holds an MBA and a CFA designation. She has extensive financial analytics experience in enterprise risk, capital management and stress testing covering all risk types. Dianna is also a frequent speaker in multiple conferences in North America and Asia.
