Speaker:

Raymond He, Senior Consultant of Channel Strategy and Analytics, CIBC

Rebecca Pang, Senior Director of Channel Strategy and Analytics, CIBC

Audience are encouraged to bring their own lunch.

Big Data is a big topic these days. However, Big Data in and of itself doesn't allow company to sell more products or services, or serve your customers better. Big Data is "merely" the ability to (with all the new tools that are emerging) crunch tons of disparate data, mingled with transaction histories, mixed with profiles from third-party data and public information to derive all kinds of interesting correlations and generating interesting hypothesis. But that shouldn't be the end of analytics.

In order to move from interesting correlations to actionable recommendations, you need Big Testing. Big Testing is about instilling a Test and Learn culture, institutionalize a disciplined approach into forming hypothesis, designing a well-thought test, executing the test objective and deriving insights from the test results, and finally, turning big ideas into well-supported and well-paced Big Changes.
